I woke up this morning and I got the “TikTok USA ban” message. I am in the UAE, when I logged out of my account I was able to browse TikTok, I even made a new account and it works just fine. But TikTok is not allowing me to log back into my main account, anyone know how to fix this?

Exactly this. I downloaded TikTok from the App Store (UAE App Store) while in the US in 2021. Blocked for me too. I guess I can make a new account but don’t want the old one to be lost forever in case the ban is overturned

it’s happening to a lot of people around the world who downloaded the app in the US or from the US store.
try logging in on a desktop and send a support ticket, maybe that way you can get them to lift the ban on your account. for now, i don’t think they’ll respond quickly because they must have tons of tickets about this (plus all the US people complaining about it).
if it were me, i’d even try reaching out to TikTok folks in dubai through LinkedIn, see if that raises any flags or something
also, from that message, i’d guess the ban might get lifted after trump takes office again, since the TikTok CEO is invited and his last message was basically kissing trump’s feet (even though he started the whole mess in 2020 haha).

You might’ve downloaded it from the United States appstore. change your region to UAE
Check your app store location. Change it UAE.

Your appstore might be US region which many people do. Just switch to your UAE address in the appstore thus switching to UAE appstore and then download tiktok again
If this doesn’t work, check if you have an American sim
