Did you try the steps in the link?
Hi,
Had two users with the same issue… You have to startup in safe mode (msconfig, boot, check safe mode, restart machine); delete vsdata.dll file from command line; msconfig (boot, uncheck safe mode and restart machine); uninstall check point vpn and then reinstall again Check Point VPN.
It seems an issue with updates - users currently ok for now.
I was able to address this:
vsdata.dll
prevent install/upgrade of CheckpointVPNvsdata.dll
from Safe-mode* address the issue.*Refer this Microsoft support doc on boot into safe mode.
Of course, but it didn’t work. After I posted for help, I found that checkpoint put out a patcher exe to update the client. That worked for me:
Thanks for responding! I found a better and easier solution after asking for help on reddit. Checkpoint apparently knew about this and created an executable patcher program. Downloaded this, ran it, and it fixed it completely. Wish it was easier to find online, but it is what it is!
Can confirm. Maybe the 2021 bug sk171213 - Remote Access VPN clients and Endpoint services fail after January 1st, 2021
You are awesome! Thank You very much for posting this!!! I’ve had several users with this issue and wasn’t able to find this.
I just spent all afternoon fighting with this on a user’s laptop. Thank you so much
