I use it too and have to turn it off to visit reddit. Perhaps there’s an exclusion list or something but I haven’t looked into it, I just turn it off.
Thinking that means that when a website sees a VPN (even Mullvad) they block the connection, just because it’s a VPN (Pretty common).
But, with Google One VPN, they let it slide since it’s a Google VPN and it shows Google servers, etc. ??
I wouldn’t put any bet on that. Most services that actively block VPNs, such as streaming sites, simply deny all major datacenter IPs. So Amazon, Google, Microsoft ranges are among the first ones to be on various block lists, regardless of how reputable Google is as a company.
Very possible, I haven’t used the google VPN enough to make an informed impression.
