Using 3rd party VPN on Brave Android

Hi, I’d like some clarity regarding this subject. So far I have seen iOS Brave to have the built-in VPN and even though Tor is safe, it is very slow.

I have seen several posts about not using VPN to earn more ads but how do they differentiate if it’s being used for safety/unblocking or merely for more ads?

I am in the middle east and there is no VPN server in my local/region which is why I am concerned to be flagged as fraud to earn BATs.

I am using ProtonVPN free version (v.2.8.75.0) and usually connect to Netherlands server.

Any advise regarding usage of third party VPN will be helpful. Thank you.

Does it affect your BAT earning when using the browser using said VPN?

I just use TouchVPN - free in the Chrome extensions store, not bad on speed to say it’s free.
