VPN as work around for hulu live home network issue?

I want to use hulu live in two different zip codes but Hulu does not allow you to have two “living room” devices in different zip codes. From my research it looks like it uses the IP that you are coming from. If I set up VPN on my DS416j at my primary house(house A), and then connect from the house b, would it look like the device at house b is on the same network as house A? Is that even possible? How would I connect something like an apple TV at house B to the VPN? Would I have to set it up on the router? If I did that would all traffic from house B go through the VPN?

I do this for some tv services but others detect a VPN and disallow so you might want to verify that first before going down the rabbit hole.

It’s best done in the two routers but can be done on any computer host on each LAN.

Set up an OpenVPN server in primary and FORCE ALL CLIENT GENERATED TRAFFIC THROUGH THE TUNNEL.

Set up an OpenVPN client in secondary and connect to primary as a WAN.

I make this so I can turn it on and off by selecting a different WiFi SSD VLAN. It all works smooth and so easy anybody can choose which WiFi o connect.

I can’t tell you how to implement because it will be router dependent but I’m telling you it works for my tv service.

If you have AES-NI, it’ll easily support two HD streams with just a 10Mb/s upload.

I agree with this, it’s best setup at the router level.

FWIW, I did this recently when I was in Italy and wanted to watch a live NFL game back in the states… I VPN’d back to home network, launched the Hulu app and I was all set.
