Hi i have run a few different versions of netextender and it seems like VPN c9nstantly disconnects, sometimes it lasts 60 min, 240 min, and most of the time 5 min or 15 min anyone experience this or no why?
Upgrade the firmware. Not sure for the version, but one of firmware was buggy for sslvpn.
5 and 15 minute there is a specific P timeout on the device we had to change that as the AS400 clients would drop at 5 minutes 1 second even if the user was active.
Yes, check you firmware and VPN timeouts. When connecting over wi-fi, Windows power management on the wireless adapter was causing the disconnects as it was trying to save power and powering down my adapter. I turn off wireless adapter power management as a default now. It helps.
Is the baseline internet connection spotty? How high is your encryption?
Could be due to various reasons.

When did you first observe this Problem state ? Was this immediately after a change ? Firmware upgrade or settings change ?
-
What box is this being observed on ? a gen6 or gen7 ?
Yea I actually just upgraded to 7.1.2-7019
Yea I do not have any timeout restrictions for our SSL VPN settings
Interesting mine is on maximum performance is that what you mean or did you do something else?
I don’t think you looked because there are defaults that are set. Open up a ticket with sonicwall.
It really depends on your wireless driver. Max performance is better, but I have found it still powers off my wi-fi breaking VPN tunnels. I tend to stay connected all day sometimes. I turn power management off completely if I can. I have seen power save mode in the drivers, and I disable it there. It varies, but I tend to try to turn off wi-fi power management in every way possible.
During COVID we had users calling constantly about being disconnected from VPNs, and this fix eliminated MANY calls.
