I’ve been using NordVPN for nearly two years now. Fast enough; reliable; no logging; DNS leak protection. Now with dozens of nodes in Singapore, as well as in 60 other countries.
The only ties I have to them are as a very satisfied customer.
Honest question. What do you guys use a VPN for? Are u all really concerned about privacy? Or if it’s for slightly illegal stuff, wouldn’t a “server in Singapore” negate all of it since the authorities will have access to the data anyway.
I’ve used both PIA and NordVPN and they are both great, NordVPN has a much better designed app and allows you to choose between servers (but it does require you to use email to login so if you are a true privacy nut this is the drawback). Personally couldn’t stomach paying so much per month (I don’t like paying for annual plans that are much cheaper) and taking a speed drop so I stopped using them.
If you do online shopping, you may notice some results don’t show up when you browse from Singapore. This may be because they don’t ship to SG, but one can use 3rd party forwarders to ship them. Using a VPN allows you the option to see those.
Also, some streaming services block content based on your IP geographic information.
