Which VPN do you recommend for a tourist in Kuala Lumpur?

Hello,

I am going to Kuala Lumpur soon, it will be my first time in Asia : )

As I will be working on the same time, I need to put my IP in my country (France), to accees to website or for teams (nothing illegal).

I am curious to know which one are you using in Malaysia ?

I need something with a good speed of course for my visio meetings.

Thanks

I am using Surfshark and seems to be fine. I’ve not tried other VPNs so can’t say comparatively if it’s better, but generally it’s stable and works on multiple devices.

nord vpn is pretty stable.

I’ve used Express VPN. Good speed for UK/Europe. Works well with my work in the UK.

I used surfshark to stream youtube for bwf badminton because unable to watch in malaysia. The speed and connection are both great.

surfshark for me seems okay if I connect to neighbors like Singapore … USA tho a little slow

I’ve used ExpressVPN, NordVPN, Surkshark. Express is the best and also most expensive. If you are only going to use European servers, Nord is great at a good price. Surkshark is sometimes congested in my experience.

I use one called TorGuard, has a few more settings than most. Works very well with streaming and video calls. I have my UK IP running all day.

i see, for XXX and hubs, use proton vpn

I would say ANY vpn will work.

I use VPN unlimited…they gave free subscription codes every now and then. Been nearly a year now

I strongly recommend Proton VPN

Setting up a vpn server in your home country is the absolute best option as it won’t be detected as a data center and you only have the upfront equipment cost. It’s similar to a private vpn service but for a lot less.

Many routers offer this capability - look for one that offers openvpn or wireguard

If you’re looking to DN without telling your company and need to appear “home” this is the only option that’s not easily detectable. Depending on what level of IT and policies your company has you may need to take additional more drastic steps.

If the VPN is free, then you’re the product. Go for the paid one if your meetings&websites are confidential and sensitive, not worth the risk.

Only tried ProtonVPN but never connect to France IP. Most of the time i just change DNS to unblock websites.

I’d think you can use most vpn with no issues. I use expressvpn

Clone VPN is the most wonderful VPN out there

Cool thanks for sharing and good luck for waiting : p

For what are you using it ?

Seconding Nord. Cheap, decent for such purpose. Easy to set up and use.

For which kind of usage ?
