Which VPN do you recommend for a tourist in Kuala Lumpur?

I’ve used Express VPN. Good speed for UK/Europe. Works well with my work in the UK.

How was the speed ? not too much connections issues with teams or google meet ?

Not recommended for privacy though. It’s bought by a nefarious Chinese company, like a whole bunch of vpn services

YouTube blocks some content in Malaysia? Or it’s a live channel?

Arg okay, I need to change my IP to French server when I will be in Kuala Lumpur sonI don’t think it will be adapted to my need : /

You tried it in Kuala Lumpur ?

I’ve used ExpressVPN, NordVPN, Surkshark. Express is the best and also most expensive. If you are only going to use European servers, Nord is great at a good price. Surkshark is sometimes congested in my experience.

Price is not my main criteria to be honest, I just want something with a good speed and the possibility to change my IP.

I will only use European server (I will be in KL and I want to connect in France)

Thanks for the feedback

But I guess some have better speed / connection ?

I strongly recommend Proton VPN

I am a little bit in the hurry to be honest.

Yes this is for DN, to be honest, the IT level is pretty low in the company…

This is only for a few teams meeting I will have a in the next months, I am not sure they will have a look on my IP adress in teams, but if they see me in ASIA they will become crazy

Yes sure, I am ready to pay to be honest

He’s trolling you, proton is a car brand

ive used it for almost everything. streaming/downloading/geo-hopping.
it was pretty stable

Haven’t had any issues on the UK server. Could still use teams smoothly. It might cut out occasionally but I found that happens around 9pm UK time. Between usual working hours (9am - 5pm UK time), speed was good.

That’s because bwf live stream ownership is bought by Astro Malaysia. It’s a paid cable service to watch in house tv. So youtube doesnt allow the free streaming to happen in malaysia to protect the interest of Astro.

Check out r/digitalnomad for the best advice on VPNs. Most there run a gl.net portable vpn wifi router and ONLY connect to that. Otherwise some traffic can sometimes slip through. Also if you have a company issued phone it’s the only way to deal with it.

If your company issues you a laptop and has location services on it that’s a whole nother level.

If it’s just teams and not connecting to company vpn you might be ok with a vpn service. Teams will definitely tattle your location though.

Albania & Moldova doesn’t have ads?

google exists my guy

There’s Proton Mail, Proton VPN. Check them out.

lol you thought you did something

They frequently offer discounts, for longer plans it’s less than 12rm/month. Definitely affordable and cheap IMO.
