After sharing Portlynn’s Nursery I received many requests to share exactly how we achieved the shiplap-wood plank look in her room. Since our home was a new build I knew there wasn’t any beautiful shiplap hiding beneath the drywall and it made more sense to add wood to the surface to create the look.

TIP: order your paint and wood online through Home Depot and you wont have to pull every 8×4 ft sheet of wood of the shelves by your self! Saves you time and energy! ?I also purchased the 5 gallon bucket of paint as shown and didn’t add any tint to the color.
