I downloaded the apk straight from NordVPN site and I’m getting the following error:
“App not installed as package appears to be invalid”.
Some had similar problems?
I have same problem.
I had it installed was working good. Today had update, I tried to update and then the update just timed out, I tried that like 3 times.
Then I uninstalled and tried to redownload the apk from nordvpn.com and I got the invalid package error.
Im starting to think it really is a problem with apk file itself.
Same here. I don’t get the error message but it never updates. What I do is download the apk to my PC then transfer it via USB cable to my Android device. Bit of a pain but it updates okay if I do that.
It’s because it’s a different package. All you need to do is uninstall the old one and install the new APK and it should be fine after that.
You install with adb, or just transfer onto phone then regular install?
Yea I mean I downloaded new apk from the nordvpn website and uninstalled the old one and get same error. That was a couple days ago.
I’m gonna try downloading now from nordvpn and see if maybe new apk has been released.
This isn’t always the case though. The last time I had to d/l the apk and install fresh was July of last year, all the 'push to update’s have worked since then.
No need to install with adb, just drag it to the phone’s download folder and install from there.

There has been a new one that’s been released. I updated to 6.7.3
I have a new Android from when I first started using Nord. One thin I noticed is that when you uninstall Nord, the device loses the ‘install unknown’ setting. I had to toggle on ‘install unknown app’ on the ‘My Files’ app before Nord would install. I turned it back off and toggles on for Nord after it installed.
