I hope this is the right place to ask.
I can’t decide on one VPN provider from the list.
- Surfshark
- Nord
- Express
If you’re using any VPN from above, what’s your opinion?

I’m using Mullvad VPN.
I’m using ProtonVPN, which I know isn’t on your list, but might be worth a look. I like their entire suite of tools.
No one using private internet access?
Personally, i’m thinking about using Surfshark, just b/c of pricing
Check out the vpn subreddit they have a excel sheet that tells you the best vpns I personally use Surfshark on my Firewalla and get around 500mbps over the vpn.
ProtonVPN and Mullvad are the only reputable VPNS imo
Using Nord here. Works great.
Have, Nord, currently. Not a fan of how they bury the server configs on the website, but never had an issue with the service itself.
Might look at surfshark when my current subscription expires. Also considering setting up my own with linode or something similar.
Nord’s the fastest, and has the most servers local to you (more than likely), if that’s an important criteria to you. Also, regularly hit and hold the max speed that’s possible on a FW. The advertised WG speed’s 500mbs, while around 5-600 is pretty normal in speed tests
I have used SurfShark, it’s pretty good
I use PIA. Very good.
Use Mullvad or Proton

PIA is good and supports port forwarding. Port forwarding is supported on any type of client and does not cost extra unlike some other VPNs. Only caveat is that only servers outside US support port forwarding.
Just remember with VPNs as with everything in life, you get what you pay for. I’ve been using ExpressVPN with and without FW devices for ~10 years and generally very happy. Customer support, when needed, has also been very good.
Happy cake day! How is the Mullvad speed?
I think they merged with other company.
I use them and I have no issues
Have used that one in the past, not with Firewalla, though.
