Just a heads up, I have been trying out different VPNs from China. Astrill’s OpenDNS is by far the fastest and most reliable (albiet their customer support is a complete joke.)
I decided to try out PureVpn, customer support is a little better… but product is WAY worse.
Honestly, I can hardly stream music. Forget about Youtube videos, they are only available 50% of the time. PureVPN is pure garbage, forget about it.
That’s weird because I have been using purevpn since two years and I have never faced such problem. I bought purepvn because of streaming and so far its good.
Unless you are a two year old who doesn’t know his way around a computer you should be satisfied with PureVPN services. I am a satisfied PureVPN customer and would suggest everybody else to opt for it specially for fast streaming and unblocking. Don’t know about that Astrill OpenDNS thing though as I haven’t used it.
IPVanish is the fastest VPN service I’ve used. I’m currently with PIA because they’re cheaper, but of the six VPN services I tried out and tested, IPVanish was the clear speed winner.
South Korea is their fastest server, but yeah it’s still horrible. They are cheap for a reason.
Back to Astrill - you can pay for a dedicated IP with their service. I haven’t tried but they are solid (except customer support is really really bad.)
I have tried for 2 weeks to pay for Astrill and they keep rejecting payment. At one point they even said they will call the police on me for fraud… even though I’m just using my regular Paypal and doing absolutely nothing suspicious lol. But go get Astrill’s 3 day trail, and try out open dns protocol - it’s the best I’ve used so far.
I’m on switchvpn typing this right now, and they are pretty solid. I’ve had an account with them for about 2 years now (albeit I’m not sure about dedicated ip)
All of the above users are actually shills of PureVPN. Please review their comment history. I have taken screenshots incase they attempt to delete the proof.
Looks like they finally got the boot. I’ve been playing /r/spam whack-a-mole with their accounts for two months and it looks like a bunch that were able to hang on by a thread (by making enough crap posts to get past the automated filters) were recently banned.
And best of all, it covered all three of their sites, including bestvpnservice and vpnranks.
