I use Nord VPN but I’m sure any of the major VPN’s will work. You can look them up online or download the app to get started
NordVPN is one of the more populair ones
You just google VPN and then install it on Windows or Mac. I don’t think I’ve seen one for a phone. Sadly most VPN’s will charge you ~ $10 a month. Nord VPN is good, but like Flobikes, they want a 1 year subscription.
A free VPN that allows you to be in any country is my Holy Grail
I just ran through their guide and couldn’t find it
If they did broadcast it in the past, they don’t seem to be anymore
The app is terrible. They don’t group replays or stages of races together so you have to scroll though and try to find what you are looking for. So bad. So so bad. I can’t understand why they can’t list stages of the major tours as episodes like shows do on other platforms. So annoying.
im an American on vacation in Canada and unfortunately the only way to chill with Phil is Peacock thru VPN.
No worries. Oh and the replays are either full stages or various highlight packages.
CONFIRMED this route works. Just caught the end of the 1st stage. Great coverage
Odd, because SBS OnDemand works on my PC in Chrome, but not on my usual Firefox, which I’ll admit is fairly heavily locked down.
Oh yep, as long as you have a VPN with your location set to Oz, then there’s no reason it shouldn’t work. SBS is definitely covering all the stages live again this year. https://www.sbs.com.au/sport/article/how-to-watch-tour-de-france-live-on-sbs/y6tx2rnxq
Yes it works! I just signed up and seems to be working, but we’ll see for sure tomorrow.
I did have to disable my ad blocker for the site.
Have only tried it on a Windows laptop that I plan on beaming to my tv.
I’ve only ever used it on PC, but I see no reason why it wouldn’t be provided you’re using a VPN.
I find the quality excellent. No issues at all, and because it has significantly fewer adverts than the TV version, I’ll often stream it to the TV if I feel like watching it on the bigger screen.
That’s probably a question for r/VPN or r/VPNreview or r/VPNAdvice
Having said that, I use PureVPN and am happy with it. Seems reasonably priced and I’ve had no issues with it. Also, there’s a free version that comes as a plug-in for Firefox, and (I think) Chrome. Might be worth checking out if that meets your needs, although it may throttle speed a bit (been a fair while since I switched to the paid version).
EDITED TO ADD: I should also add that given I’m in Oz, I don’t need a VPN to watch SBS. However, I use PureVPN to access overseas stuff.
Free preview … Stage 1 and a link to “subscribe”.
I’m not unwilling to pay a fair price but when every other country gets it for $8 or less, I’m not stumping up $75USD.
Seriously, who would pay for this outrageous highway robbery price?
Oh yikes, keep us posted!
Yeah, ended up being teasers. I’ve resorted to a free 30-day VPN trial and watching either SBS or ITV. Interestingly, I tried a friend’s login for Peacock but it wouldn’t let me watch on a VPN.
