Free version vs Pro version

Hello. I was using the free version of windscribe for about 5 years, and it never let me down, so I took advantage of that offer a few months back to upgrade to pro for a year. But I haven’t changed my usage of windscribe at all in the last few months. I’m using the same locations because the premium locations have seemed a bit slower, but I’ll try them more often. I’m not super tech-savvy, at least when it comes to VPNs. Are there some pro version features I should be taking advantage of? I see R.O.B.E.R.T. but I don’t know that it’s of much use to me, personally.

I don’t mind keeping my windscribe usage the same, I’m not mad or anything, I like the program/service a lot, but just wondering if there’s some pro features I should consider using. I’m using windscribe in Windows.

ROBERT is good for adblocking in cellphones

You can generate configs for other applications or devices. Especially your router.

The locations are less used, so better chances at streaming.

Speeds are naturally better due to less conflicting traffic (less users using them)

Static IP and Port forwarding

does that cause issues with some phone features/apps? Like if i use the adblock dns on my phone I can’t connect to public wifi and some apps act strange. That does sound nice, though. I didn’t even know windscribe had a phone app. I don’t use my phone all that much but I’ll try it if I can figure it out.

thanks

how would I use windscribe with my router?

It shouldnt introduce issues on phones.

Some rare apps simply stop working if you block ad providers or data gatherers and stuff.

But these apps are rare and you shouldn’t use those.

In over 6 years of use on android i only saw 2 of those apps and these were small privacy invading apps.

In the end it could even help you save data and battery

Depends on your type of router
