Gambling online, are Bovada and stake pretty much the same? Pros and cons?

Hey guys, so first off never had any issues with withdrawals on Bovada. The only issues I’ve heard are the following…

  1. people say it’s rigged? How?
  2. people say the payouts suck
  3. dealers do shady stuff

I’ve never bought into those to me it’s people who can’t win. Maybe it’s just me… Are there any actual legit issues between these sites?

Gambling online vs in person? Do dealers cheat? Or scam?

I know people have won a good chunk of money I’ve won $1,500 on Bovada. Lost about $500 so far. Just being honest. Spent $300 on deposits.

Both take my money so they’re pretty much similar.

I know I responded to you the other day but I’ll still give my two cents.

Bovada:

Pros - Very large sportsbook with more bets and props than most sites - good lines too. Bovada has larger deposit bonuses than other sites, but it comes at the expense of having to play through the bonus anywhere from 5x - 100x times. Bovada also has live poker, which is a feature Stake does not. Bovada has choices for more niche table games (I e. Let it Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Caribbean Stud).

Cons - Support will rarely help you or solve your problem. They do not seem to understand when you ask questions and will almost always side with the site. Games have been questioned in the past for being unfair (specifically live dealer, but not exclusively). Cashouts have a multi day waiting period, and are much more likely to be denied than on other sites. Bovada can and will make you provide ID to cash out, and may also ask for phone bills, proof of address, etc. Bovada accepts US customers, but is not explicitly legal in the United States.

Stake:

Pros - Nearly instant deposits and withdrawals, and the withdrawals aren’t really reviewed unless your activity has been suspicious. Stake will only ask for your ID if they believe you are using it fraudulently (such as using a VPN). Support is fast and helpful, and much better than Bovada at understanding and resolving your problem. Stake’s bonuses are given to you in straight cash, allowing you to withdraw it immediately if you want. As a result, these bonuses are typically smaller than on Bovada. Stake has a much higher and arguably better selection of slots, but less specific table games. Stake.us allows users to claim $1 free per day. Stake.us is legal in the US as a “contest” where users are betting “stake coins” to win a “sweepstakes” (this is basically their loophole for the law).

Cons - Stake.us doesn’t have a sports book, and stake.com has an OK one with average or below-average lines. Stake runs on crypto deposits and withdrawals, so if you aren’t familiar with cryptocurrency you may not want to use it. Slots and live dealer are still questioned about legitimacy by some, just less so than Bovada.

I tend to use stake.us or rollbit, but it’s up to you where to play based on what you’re looking for. Do you prefer slots? Or sports betting? Do you prefer small rakeback bonuses for instant use? Or do you prefer larger bonuses to gamble with that are harder to retain and cash out?

Heard Bovada could b shady

Took me over a year to hit a 1000x on stake. Then shortly after that I hit max win on retro tapes… Stake definitely seems like much lower RTP then advertised. I switch to a new casino around 5 months ago and have since hit 3 1000x but no max wins.

Both software is pretty shady, both is all good you wouldn’t be making any money on gambling

They are rigged. I was playing blackjack live dealer, and on certain plays, it wouldn’t let me hit. There were a few players on the chat who said the same thing. On roulette, it seems rigged. There’s seems to be a lag on the “live” video. I would not play online. I tried it several times, and there’s no way that I’m that unlucky. I usually win some money at the real casinos.

I don’t play on Bovada anymore, but they used to have the shittiest live dealer provider. I doubt it was rigged or anything like that, but the table camera, mics, UI/UX, etc. were just awful. My understanding that they’ve changed providers and the new one is better in terms of the points I mentioned above.

That said, Stake and other crypto casinos (mentioned in my post below) all have Evolution Gaming as their live dealer provider. They are the best and nobody (apart from pragmatic-- maybe) will ever come close to competing with them. Evolution is also licensed and regulated in a number of jurisdictions: https://www.evolution.com/who-we-are/compliance-markets/

TLDR: Bovada used to have a shitty live dealer provider but now they have a better one. Stake (and various other crypto casinos) have Evolution as their live dealer provider and they are the most well-known in the industry. Neither will cheat you out of your money.

Here’s a link to a post on all of the casino’s I play at.

Sounds like you’re in the US, so Stake.com won’t be an option for you given that they require KYC before depositing. The US site is fine though… although they also require KYC at sign-up.

absolutely incorrect I have won over $5000 on bovada at least three times and withdrawals are instant as long as it takes your winnings to get to your wallet and if you’re still using credit cards instead of crypto, then that’s half your problem you can withdraw any amount in under 15 minutes and as of right now, if you type in Stake, bovada comes on the sign in screen, the one in the same if you click on the Stake app yeah I’m gonna be on bovada website.

I forgot to mention, stake.us will require an ID up front to play, while (I believe) stake.com will not. I still prefer this to Bovada, who will allow you to gamble freely but then only ID you if you win.

RTP has nothing to do with the casino your playing at. RTP comes from the game provider
