Have two problems currently with NordVPN, wondering if there is an outrage going on.
- I cannot seem to download through utorrent currently. I tried the typical servers that I use:
los-angeles.us.socks.nordhold.net
dallas.us.socks.nordhold.net
But neither are working. Torrents obviously have many seeders/leechers so they aren’t dead torrents.
Are the NordVPN servers down or something? It worked fine a few days ago but haven’t been able to get a download started in over a day.
- The NordVPN program doesn’t login. I can log into the web browser just fine. I get an “incorrect login data” error. Is the program no longer working?
It also asks me to update, however when I click install now it just says it will install sometime in the background which makes zero sense. Why not install now and when do I know if it is updating?
Same here. It was working a few days ago, now it downloads at 100kb for two seconds, goes to 1byte for 30 seconds, and repeat.
Tried it with a free vpn(with data cap) and it works as it should.
There must be something wrong with their servers.
I’m currently using us.socks.nordhold.net as my SOCKS5 proxy (qBittorent) with no issues.
When I first signed up with Nord 3 years ago the service was great. I didn’t have any complaints about their speed even though it never reached anywhere near my maximum it was still very suitable for torrenting. It wasn’t until the last year of my subscription that the speeds dropped. I couldn’t get more than 1-30 kbps for downloading. I even spent over 2 hours with their support several times trying to fix it but nothing ever worked. I gave up and decided not to renew with them again.
For me it doesn’t start at all. I decided to try qBittorent for the first time, and I believe I have it set up properly according to the NordVPN tutorial on qBittorent.
The torrent worked on that.
Wondering if there is something wrong with utorrent?
