If I change my Apple ID to another country, can I download apps banned in the US?

Well the game me and my friends play, and a few others, also share the same parent company, bytedance, and as such falls under the ban. So there’s a legitimate reason to find a workaround to this

Thanks. All good. Just heard That Pierre guy in Canada little Trump wannabe, now saying he wants to ban tik tok also.

I used a different email address (my work email, instead of my personal). But I only have one phone number, so that is the same… I need to use a different phone number?

Maybe. When I made the second Apple ID I used my Google Voice number instead of my mobile number. I was able to set up a UK Apple ID for two of my friends, using their Google Voice numbers in place of their mobile number

Hmmm… I don’t have a Google Voice number. I only have one phone #, and apparently a phone # is needed to verify the account. So this might be a dead-end for me?

Possibly. Google voice numbers are free. Not sure that you’d want to spend that much time/effort to try and install TikTok. Hopefully the whole ban thing gets resolved soon somehow

This is not for TikTok. I’m trying to reinstall Marvel Snap. Another potential work-around might be to change the App Store region. Do you know if this can be done without creating a new Apple ID?

Oh, I gotcha. I posted a similar comment about TikTok on another thread. I’ve heard that you can change the App Store region, but I think there might be limitations on how often you can change it… As in once you change it you might have to wait a certain amount of time before changing it back. If you have subscriptions like Apple Music I think that can be a roadblock because you have to wait for the subscription to cancel.

For me, I have too many things that I purchased on my Apple ID from the US region and I have too many subscriptions that changing my region on the Apple ID or App Store would make me leery

I have similar concerns as what you have stated. I also still have access to the game on my iPad and my MacBook. The only device that I deleted it from is my iPhone, and I haven’t found a work-around to get it back. I primarily play on my phone, so it’s definitely a bummer. But it might not be worth the hassle.

The problem is that Marvel Snap is in the process of finding a new publisher. Which means it could be a very long time before it will be back in the U.S. App Store.

I think your best bet will be trying to get it from the UK App Store- that’s assuming it’s even still on the UK App Store

Update: I signed into the UK App Store and was able to download Marvel Snap

I was just able to get it via the Canada App Store. Seems to be working fine. Now I’m holding my breath, about to try to flip back to U.S. App Store.

Update: Everything seems to be okay. Flipped back to U.S. App Store. Game functionality intact. My subscriptions within the U.S. App Store all seem to be in place as well. I had read various sources which indicates that subscriptions would be canceled, but that doesn’t appear to have happened.

This thread has been very helpful, as Mobile legends is about the only game me and my friends play when we have time out of work and likewise falls under the ban. Thank you for the help, will see if it works for me as well when I get home
