lol, so the Russians are resorting to creating more fake accounts and posts about Kaspersky to drum up a flood of fake comments to say it’s the best thing ever. So then NutellaGuy_AU and all the other accounts ran by the Russian Internet Research Agency can up vote everything that is positive and harass and bully if anyone says otherwise 
My Journey with Kaspersky Products:
I mean… Honestly kaspersky products perform great and its very lightweight. Never ever got something bad into my computer when I was using Kaspersky. Quality of the product is amazing. Honestly I was happy to have Kaspersky until… all the serious shitstorm started after RU-UA war.
If you have no concern about the origins of Kaspersky, or if you dont care about politics, or if you dont have any relations with governments, Kaspersky products are pretty good products for protecting your PC.
But I couldnt say the same thing with Kaspersky VPN. Some of servers eventually gets down for hours and its not something you would want.
If you just use several main locations like germany, france, UK, london, etc. You can get seamless connection with those regions. Uptime in those regions are high and speeds are okay.

I was a kaspersky user over 10 years but… You know the news about Kaspersky (a guy also shared tons of links about allegations and stuff) and…
Russia is very successful, serious and scary country about intelligence, and international laws never ever stopped them before. So I decided to stay away, It’s my personal decision.
And I wanna say another thing as an addon.
I shouldn’t say anything about this topic or take it seriously because its just so funny but… They are just being “too much” on comments.
Some people tries to “defend” kaspersky by harrassing, bullying people made me even more disgusted. They are just harming to the “Kaspersky” brand by insulting people that presents logical arguments.
Look, I’m not into shitass arguments with some antivirus fanatics. These guys are either kids or they really have an empty life and all they could think about antivirusses all day.

In terms of VPN and AVs VPN is fine it gets the job done. There are far better stand alone products the as Mullvad or ProtonVPN
I personally use Kaspersky and Mullvad VPN
I don’t trust them personally. Plus for a VPN there’s far far better options that are better in many ways. Then for AV’s I feel like a lot of people praise Kaspersky way too much. It’s sub-par and I’d chose Malwarebytes or Bitdefender over them any day.
They seem to get decent ratings, but Bitdefender and others are at least roughly as good without the shadow of potential unsavory factors
I’d rather pay for Google 1 and get a VPN from them
it’s a virus like 99% of other antiviruses.
it’s fast which is the main advanted. it’s got tons of bloatware installed. it is talkative, and therefore annoying. it endlessly throws errors about files you already added to exclusion or ignored. it calls home a lot. nonEU binaries are an incredible privacy abuse. don’t understand how this could be praised on a major AV website for the privacy.
vpn should be from a reputable company. there are very few.
I use it, AV is top-notch and their VPN service allow me to circumvent ads on sites like Twitch

This comment. Couldn’t have said it better myself. I can think of a few people that basically live here on this subreddit and do nothing else then being on here.
The only people being harassed are those who recommend Kaspersky, there are 3-4 troll accounts here spreading misinformation about Kaspersky, copy and pasting the same links over and over that prove nothing in relations to the allegations regarding Kaspersky.

Bro, the company is from Russia and Russia doesn’t even allow VPN’s in their own country
Simply pick countries that do not get served ads like Russia and Belarus due to sanctions, I heard Iceland and Albania also do not serve any ads. Since I live in Europe these are the countries that are relevant to me, but if you live somewhere else then you gotta do your own research and find neighbouring countries that don’t have ads.
But they all seem like over-sensationalized news articles
