Is ProtonVPN still good?

The post regarding recommended VPNs has had it final update almost a year ago and the VPN Comparison Table from /VPN has it at #5.

Proton is great, No logs, very fast speeds, packed with security features, mobile + PC apps, trustworthy (most important imho)

After using Nord and knowing its flaws. Proton is one of the best I’ve tried.
I would recommend it to those new in torrenting

Never had a problem with it. Definitely worth it!

I heard that the Linux support is still meh. Can somebody confirm this?

Works on linux I bought it for a little while, and it works great. Pretty much the only reason I bought it is because it has an official linux version and it’s great.

With proton and nord, chose proton. This comes from a guy who had to switch from nord within 2 months and is just wasting away a nord subscription. Proton is way superior and has more features than nord. Even if u dont want the features, its still good to have them handy in case u turn out to need them in the coming years.

I would recommend AirVPN.

Just upgraded to Proton Unlimited yesterday. It’s terrible No Internet connection with VPN on, continuous prompts to log in after several tries. No support. I’ve filled out support forms. Meaningless responses- just read support articles. No real time phone or chat support and now they just ignore me. Horrible experience!

You won’t find a better one.

I absolutely love it.

Can i use this vpn in china

as a comparison and I’m a newborn in the VPN world I can say that while driving and asking Google to call a number that wasn’t in my contacts list while using ProtonVPN on my PXL9 and being connected in California I got numbers in Rancho Cucamonga. With everything being the same but turning off Proton and using Google VPN I got local phone numbers for the business and Google called them for me all hands-free using Gemini…

Maybe Google VPN is tied in so well to all the personal info that it’s VPN doesn’t block what should be blocking and is still user-friendly? Or, GVPN is connected locally in my city, is tracking where I’m driving and knows where the closest business is I’m requesting?

They were great until I got my proton account banned for pirating games…

Doesn’t have true port forwarding. I can’t for the life of me understand why it’s even in the discussion when it comes to Bittorrent. It is useless for Bittorrent.

They are based in Switzerland, so they are underlying heavy rules about data protection etc.

(I am Swiss)

ProtonVPN is not secure, if police, Intelligence agency’s, and high up governments can ask for logs and your VPN provider does just that. You do not have a VPN. But that’s my belief… do your research…

Yea, my sub is running out and I’m looking for the best replacement.

No Logs, Are you kidding me… Check this out

What were your issues with nord?
