Hey everyone

This is very common issue with many (all?) VPN providers.
If you are wondering why, it’s a combination of these factors:
- many people on the same IP generates A LOT of traffic which may trigger “safety mechanisms” (ban/captcha)
- programmers will often use VPN for their “web scraping” projects to avoid banning of their own IP, or to hide/mix their “suspicious” traffic with a normal looking traffic of ordinary people using VPN
There is not much you can do apart from switching to a different server and hoping for the best
- many people on the same IP generates A LOT of traffic which may trigger “safety mechanisms” (ban/captcha)
This happened to me on reddit. Not a VPN, but using the same IP from someone that was banned.
I was in a coworking space and a guy I’ve met saw me using a sub I mod. He accessed it and got almost immediately banned by another mod. Then I posted something and Reddit banned me for evading the ban, thinking it was him using an alt account.
I had to access from another IP and appeal from the ban. It took a while to revert this.
