Hi, i’ve seen posts where people say that nordvpn is the best for gaming and works fine with MWIII, but after seen tons of videos about it, i don’t find a single match with low latency, or ping. people say that you can “play better with VPN” or get into “easier lobbies” but the thing is that i’ve been playing in lobbies with people same as good as my current region, with worse latency, so very limited for me to play correctly and impossible to win actually, so what am i doing wrong i live in Miami, i’ve triend servers in Chile, Norway, Spain, England, and many other and with everyone its the same, my conection its not bad, i have Xfinity Comcast, with the gig plan, 1000mbps Download and the shameful 20 to 30 mbps upload, depends of the day. so do you guys have any advice for me? i’ve already pay NordVPN for one month.
VPNs introduce latency
I have tried to connect to every possible server with NordVPN, and if I am not choosing a server in the US, I sit in a lobby at 200ms ping and never find a match. I would say its useless for MW3 multiplayer.
The vpn bot lobby ship has sailed. Basically it’s a crap shoot. Most vpn users are doing the same shit, so they’re naturally in the same lobbies. Perhaps mixed with a few bots. But you’ll notice a ton of players are ttv’ers and other sweats who have studied the servers precisely such as joining Turkey or Antarctica at 2am or something specific. Doesn’t seem worth it to me tbh. I use a vpn for many years, but not for gaming, just for torrents. Good luck
VPN used for easier lobbies in COD is not just simple VPN.
Magic of low ping was only using VPN for connection to matchmaking server. And direct connections to game servers.
This way it switched you to looking for the “first free lobby” faster instead waiting for lobby at yours skill level.
It was working amazing in Warzone, almost no difference in Multiplayer.
With standard VPN you can still connect to easier lobbies in low population regions. But ping will be high.
NordVPN works ok with Uzbekistan server for me, idk if you’ve tried this one?
I have nord also, but noticed it says to upload CODVPN config to openVPN first. I did that, and cannot connect. I get an error/options message.
Any advice? Windows 11, nord, hardwired to fiber. Mw3 is game of choice rn
