I understand this is not a free speech platform but for the most part, it should be. I also don’t accept the assertion “this is not official NordVPN”. Nord has to have control - Reddit could not give subs to randos for trademarked legal entity businesses.
My post was asking about random Connection issues which I described in detail. I HAVE engaged official Nord Support but wanted to see if others were having these issues or just me. If it’s just me, then maybe the issue is my PC or some other interfering software.
My Posts have been deleted. I will take my question to Twitter since Nord can’t censor that forum.
This sub is packed with questions about issues but they are not being deleted. It looks to me like the Mods are censoring Posts about issues that MIGHT resonate with many users. This does not look good on Nord. I will be reevaluating my NordVPN and NordPass decisions when my subscriptions come up.
I wonder if this Post will be deleted since it doesn’t violate any of the rules.
I’m not sure if you fully understand the concept of this platform. Lots of smart, talented, and random people are moderating, creating content, and engaging here with one another and the communities they enjoy. I highly doubt this will ever change.
To keep communities relevant, moderators set the rules. As a long-time NordVPN user and community moderator, I’ve noticed that some people put a lot of effort into asking for help here, and that effort is highly appreciated! This allows others to really look into those situations and come up with great ideas on how to solve them. Others… sorry, but rules are rules, let’s not waste anyone’s time and instead contact official support.
Regarding your threads. The one deleted today was about your missing post. Moderators removed it because it wasn’t asking for help or serving the community purpose. I personally checked the removed posts queue and didn’t find the other post you mentioned as also being removed.
Also, ironically, the ‘this is not official’ subs seem to be full of fan boys, not neutral people. Which is probably why the actual company in question are happy to let them flourish.
I made some observations about their UI, and all I got were attempts to defend a completely flawed interface.
I just switched to ProtonVPN when Nord totally dropped the ball on torrents and just loading webpages in a timely fashion. Now Im enjoying actually being able to seed with port forwarding and getting my full download speed.
They also straight up lie about their servers. I have been connected to UK servers that route through other countries and my location appears as not uk when I ask Google. Their app is also terrible the pass through doesn’t work at all
I’d recommend not judging any company by mods on Reddit who love to censor people, and a forum mod position is the closest thing to leadership that they will ever get. Of course they will abuse it, they are the exact people who shouldn’t be leaders for good reason, which is shown pretty regularly. I see censorship here on the daily, and I mean Reddit, not Nord specifically.
I highly doubt even Nord would put anyone notable as “leader of Reddit”. Go about your posts on Reddit like you are working around the bottom of the barrel.
I bought NordVPN but it was slowing my internet so I requested a refund. They refused to refund for a week because I “couldn’t prove” that it was their VPN that was slowing my connection, until I hit the 30 day mark and they no longer would talk to me. Left a 1 star review on trustpilot and the next day I noticed it got taken down. Fucking dirty ass company if you ask me.
This place is 100% ran by nord staff who delete everything negative. Watch this post will disappear in a few days or weeks.
The only reason nord is best rated vpn everywhere is because they pay everyone a lot of money. Then they increase your subscription rate on rebill 4 times in order to not lose money. Actually trustworthy vpns dont do this because they dont advertise.
The concept of the platform is for NordVPN users to share information, which is what I was seeking.
I deleted the recent original Post after it was removed from the Feed and I saw the response from the Mods. That’s my bad as I can’t even see record of it in my profile info. Maybe you can still the Mods response or maybe that disappears with the original post deletion(?). Either way, you’ll have to take my word - I posted it and Mods removed it.
Mods judged my seeking community feedback and felt it needed to be censored rather then letting the community admonish or ignore my Post. This is still bad form. Cheers.
NordVPN is a trademark and Nord could have this sub taken down. If they let these Mods bring disrepute to their product and company, that Nord’s own doing.
