Ok, so I’ve got Pro, but I’m in Europe. I want to use Operator, and before I subscribe to a VPN I wanted to ask if anyone has experience getting past the EU restrictions with a VON or if extra steps are required?

I think OpenAI have put something in place to mitigate it. I am not certain on this though.
If you use a VPN like Nord VPN on your phone, you’ll get an error message saying that a VPN is being used and to turn it off.
So I imagine the webapp will be much the same. Have yet to test though.
If it works, let me know and I’ll immediately subscribe to Pro.
Sorry for jumping in here. I’m a newbie and searching for info but keep getting told different things. I am based in the UK and have Pro and a VPN. Is it okay to use it to at least test the features we don’t get such as Operator and Sora?
Did you use a new account for this resp. created the account through VPN? I imagine the place where the account was opened might somewhat matter?
What have you tested it for? Is it any useful?
I have tested - it works. I am in Canada. Nord VPN on phone & laptop. Access to Operator / Pro on both.
I’m using Mullvad any it all works great. Maybe advanced voice mode takes the biggest hit but everything else is great.
Did you set up your subscription with a Canadian billing address or US address? Does it matter?
My company is in the US but I’m in Canada so a bit inconvenient when not on site.

Canadian billing address, in this instance I guess it did not matter. That’s fascinating, so I hope you’re making USD dollars compared to the current CAD lol
No bother - I did not set up dedicated IP. Just the basic package, and I connect to the US before using Operator.
