Had anyone used these? Any views on which is the better service? Anything better?
Looking to try and keep on top of websites that publish info such as cell phone numbers and email addresses.

Bump. I’m interested in doing this, preferably before I change my number. I’ve heard great things about DeleteMe …just here to lurk tho I have no valuable input.
If you go with Optery, StackSocial has one year for $50. And you will want the year as it takes many months to clean up. I signed up for Optery in December and still have a few processing.
I mainly signed up with them to get Intelius to remove me and ended up having to do that one manually anyway which was a disappointment.
You can absolutely do it yourself but the data brokers do not make it easy and removals are not permanent.
I went with Optery because of the value and the fact that they are not affiliated with a data broker so it is less “protection racket”.
2years on Deleteme, great service.
I run easyoptouts.com. We’re the cheapest such service, I think. Here’s a comparison of many of the similar services.
DeleteMe is a big name and has been around a long time, but there’s no great reason to use it any more since there are other options that cover more for a lower price. Optery is a good choice with great coverage if you don’t mind the price. I don’t know about Norton Privacy Assist.
Norton Privacy Assistant scrapes and stores results from brokers - so isn’t checking live exposures. You can tell because when you go through their ‘free scan’ on their site (Privacy Monitor Assistant: Take charge of your personal info) results come back right away. If they were actually checking live, it would need to take at least a few seconds for the scan to trigger a job, hit the sites, then return your information.
You can test this by doing their free scan, removing yourself from backgroundalert (or another site that does an immediate removal), then doing another scan. The results won’t show the update.
I run r/Kanary (a fully independent and privacy-focused competitor in this space). We scan live, don’t cache your data, and do removals from more sites than any service. We aim to be the most transparent site with what is happening with your information and how we can help you get it removed. Feel free to DM for more details on a free trial or just check out our site.
Hey lurker. Your valuable input is in having shown an interest
Thank you for sharing that. So far I have been doing it myself as I come across them, but as you say it is not easy and not permanent.
Do you purchase a subscription per name? Rather than per household?
the fact that they are not affiliated with a data broker so it is less “protection racket”.
mmmm…i’d like to know more without having to do the effort to dig and find it myself, im assuming this means the other product you mentioned is affiliated with a data broker, which would be quite sickening when you give them all your personal addresses, emails, phone numbers, and info so that you may be removed
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Thank you for your reply. I will spend a bit of time looking at your website and comparison chart.
Does your service deal with sites listing cell phone numbers and email addresses? Does it also deal with spelling variations in names, or is it only searching for a precise spelling?
Web site (easyoptouts.com) looks amateurish! Might be a great service for a great price, but the Quality and look and feel of the web site is not indicative of that kind of service. The amateurish appearance will make many folks turn elsewhere.
does the service also cover photos? i’m also interested in a service to identify potential doxers.
Might I suggest one feature add. I’m not sure how many dropped subscriptions you have after some period of time but once you do the heavy lifting there must be cancellations. We are two months in and don’t plan to cancel anytime soon but don’t you think your service value deteriorates over time as you do your job and eliminate most search results? What incentive does a long-time loyal customer have to remain paying at the enrollment monthly rate? We will probably cancel the service once we feel your data mining has run its course. We would also be open to paying a maintenance level fee to keep things clean, otherwise we are incentivized to cancel Optery and sign up for the next best service to see what else the competition can clean up.
Just a thought.
If I buy the Core yearly plan through StackSocial and later decide that I want to upgrade to the Ultimate yearly plan directly through your web site, how much would the upgrade cost?
Also, would I still be able to use one of the promo codes listed on https://www.optery.com/optery-promo-codes/ to upgrade from Core to Ultimate?
Are there any issues using Optery and other removal services? I have deleteme and incogni. Are you aware of any issues with using multiple services? Could data removal requests from multiple companies to the same data broker cause any issues?
Yes, I did one name as a way to check it out, see how it worked, and if I liked it.
If you are ok with just the base Optery plan, you are better off getting everyone their own Stack Social discount plan than Optery’s family plan. It’s a little harder to track/manage but there is a good cost savings.
Yep, our service takes phones and emails and searches for them and identifies you based on them. It can also handle mistakes in your data as long as there’s still enough to identify you, e.g. if we find your address and a relative, we can tell it’s you even if the name is malformed.
Yep, our focus has been on the service. Thanks for the feedback!
Not stand alone - some search results include photos and those results + photos get removed.
If you’re open to sharing more about what you’re looking for, you can DM me. I can discuss with the team to see how we can help.
