Lucky I haven’t renewed, just cancelled a moment ago, was planning on buying again in the sales but another VPN service will be getting my cash now.
Lots of choice in the VPN sector, considering Windscribe, TorGuard or maybe Azire.

Privacy
VPN products often indicate their dedication to privacy through tall claims of no-logs policies. This is often evidenced — or debunked — by their country of registry, which is usually listed at the bottom of the product’s homepage.
If the company is registered within the Fourteen Eyes alliance, that’s a bad sign. Those companies have a legal obligation to surrender usage logs to the authorities if a request is made.
If you’re using a VPN to conceal your online activity, then, using a VPN registered in a Fourteen Eyes country is pointless.
Many VPN providers, such as CyberGhost, proudly state their country of registration as one outside the jurisdiction of the Fourteen Eyes. In CyberGhost’s case, it’s Romania, a nation without data retention laws.
Yet research shows that CyberGhost is owned by Kape Technologies, a company registered in the Isle of Man.
This places it under British jurisdiction, which therefore subjects it to Fourteen Eyes requirements.
As a result, using CyberGhost means your usage logs are readily available to the British government and every other government within the Fourteen Eyes alliance.
Worryingly, this information is not available anywhere on the CyberGhost website.
It is therefore important that you consult the available research to ascertain whether or not this VPN product really is safe to use.
EDIT: here are the members of the “Fourteen Eyes Alliance” plus the other tiers:
Five Eyes: US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand
Nine Eyes: Five Eyes + Denmark, France, Holland, Norway
Fourteen Eyes: Nine Eyes + Germany, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Spain
Also interestingly PIA was asked to log all Russian traffic and shut down operations to avoid doing that June 2016. With the owners being in Romanian hands will that influence be reasserted once again and will Kape refuse?
Not even a heads up for your customers, way to sellout your users.
Their last transparency report from their website is from 2015.
You only allowed to use 7 devices at once.
According to that one privacy site, they don’t even have IPv6 Leak protection and all their business ethics scores fail.
And last but certainly not least, let’s not forget their “no-log” policy has never been tested in court and any claims otherwise have not been proven.
Welp, looks like I’m not longer on the fence about a change. ExpressVPN, here I come!
Thank god I decided to go monthly at renewal. Bye PIA. Not cool guys, you could have had a constant revenue stream for a very long time but instead selling out for a one time payout. Had PIA for years but with the shady advertising lately (“video” streaming works! Clearly trying to make your customers think Netflix is plug and play) I went monthly until I found something better. Well, now to get off my ass and do it.
WTF!
This is a sad day. PIA is a great company, good speeds, plenty of servers… Time to find another one. Can we get refunds on prepaid subscriptions?
Stay away from Nord ! NordVPN is been sued by Torguard for blackmailing them, so the question is what will NORDVPN do to hide bad company practices.

Welp, I’m out. Fuck that shit.
Was just about to cancel my sub on the weekend but kept it. Who will I change to? Suggestions?
shit, my subscription just renewed for another year.
Question, What will change under the new company?
whats a good replacement for pia?
private internet access more like public internet give fbi access thanks impeot
Subscription cancelled.
cyberghost parent company is super dodgy. sit in the UK and just renamed from Crossrider to Kape Technologies due to their shit reputation. They literally have malware named after them, lul. they were injecting malware and adware with their software. also the cyberghost vpn itself is littered with trackers that can’t be turned off.
jump ship if you can.
I just saw this. 4 year customer here, but I’m insta-cancelling over this.
I can’t think of another company ruining their whole reason for existence faster than this deal has done.
Dang, have another year of sub from my 2 years. Any recommendations for torrenting?
Cancelled PIA and tried mullvad but cannot get it to work with unbound pihole, refuses to connect.
