Sharing of internet via WIFI on Macbook (no app in phone)

Hello,

I have special problem. I cannot install apps in my iPhone becouse of the IP are being blocked in my country. I can install Outline VPN on Mac. My question is how can I shared VPN connection via standard MacOS internet sharing, so I can connect my phone to Macbook WIFI and download the Outline VPN app from apple store.

Phone A (with restricted internet) > via cable > Macbook > Outline VPN > via Wifi > Connect phone B > Install Outline VPN via apple store.

Guys! It works! This is best VPN ever. Even Openvpn cannot do that on Mac OS!

You used your MacOS as a hotspot and ran Outline on it, then used that to install the app on your phone? That’s a cool idea!

This is possible.
- Your Phone A need to connected to Mac with Cable.
- Don’t connect wifi on Mac. Just use cable.
- Connect to Outline VPN on mac.
- Go to System Preferences > Sharing > Internet Sharing
- Select Outline in " Share you internet from " option in Internet Sharing.
- Click Wi-Fi option and configure Wifi name & password
- Then click toggle on Internet Sharing
- Finally, you can find & connect your Phone B.

That’s it.

Yop this is exactly how I made it work! It was my only chance, as on iPhone only App store can install the apps.
