I had Minecraft (the real thing) for several years, but my account was hacked. I didn’t want to pay for a new one, so I decided to get a cracked one. I guess I was kinda stupid, and didn’t do much research. So I got TLauncher. I have had it for several months now, and have not noticed any problems. But, I started to hear rumors it had spyware and viruses. I decided to do more research, and found many people claiming it was safe, but after checking some accounts, I realized that many where probably bogus.

I have not found any evidence that TLauncher has any viruses, but a lot of evidence it has spyware. The thing that confuses me, is I have scanned it with 5 programs, Avast, McAfree, Itop VPN, Windows Defender, and MalwareBytes, and have found nothing. But some things I want to know are,

1: Does TLauncher have Viruses?

2: If It has Spyware, would programs such as SuperAntiSpyware and Top Data Protector protect my computer?

3: The computer I have TLauncher installed on has no valuable information, but I have one that does, Is it possible that it could get information from my other computer?

4: If I uninstall it, would I be able to transfer the files to another Launcher for Minecraft?

5: Is there any safe replacements for TLauncher?

6: just out of curiosity, is TLauncher a Russian Program?

Nowadays people find it shady because of it installing 360 Extreme Browser which is a shady Chinese website that installs on your computer with no warning and also automatically sets itself in your settings as the default browser.

I have been having tlauncher for 4+ years, and so far no problems, but I think they had some security issues in 2017(don’t remember getting in trouble though).

About being russian and stuff: yeah I think devs are, moreover they are/were partnered with wargaming studios and yandex(both russian companies) and last year I accidentally installed some games(which some ppl like but I don’t) and the browser, got rid of them anyways.

Spyware? Not sure if I understand you correctly but sure that TL and mentioned companies collect as much of data as google does cos ads? Or idk maybe you mean they’re interested in political stuff you say or read, or who you talk to? Well in that case I 99% assure you they don’t,cos I’ve been saying non-patriotic things, staying in touch with my friends and relatives in ukraine and not using any VPN while living in moscow.

i do use vpns now but for different reasons, I’m bad with computers to be honest, but if you will need to transfer worlds do that before deleting TL, like put them into official game’s/other launcher’s apropriat folders? But your items in e-chest and inventory might get deleted.
