I’m trying to find an effective way to use nordvpn on my xbox. Do any of you know if sharing wi-fi through mobile hotspot with the vpn active on my phone is supposed to work?

It is not possible to share a VPN connection via the mobile hotspot. To use a VPN on your console, you can do two things. That is to share a VPN connection via the Windows device or set up your VPN connection on the router. You can check more info on the NordVPN website here: https://support.nordvpn.com/1047409252
Its theoretically possible to share a VPN connection over mobile hotspot, but i am unfamiliar with any actual device that lets you do this on a stock, unrooted, ROM. You may have a better luck if you don’t mind rooting your device and using a special app for this purpose.
