Just used a Japanese VPN connection and around half a hour after I got a message from chrome browser saying i’ve 45 accounts exposed and should change passwords… I checked my mail and this msg
"Someone signed-in to your account.
When: Nov 10, 2020 07:56 AM Japan Standard Time
Device: Google Chrome Windows (Desktop)
Near: Japan"
I’m not sure what your question is, since there’s no question in your post.
I think Google saw that someone accessed your account from an IP in Japan and, since that’s outside of your normal connection area, it thinks you might have been hacked, so they sent you an email as a warning. If anything, it should help confirm that your VPN has you connected to a Japanese IP address.
Yeah this was my thought aswell, just wanted to be sure!
Because I had already begun changing a few passwords till the thought occured to be that the browser just “thinks” that i’ve been hacked.
