I’ve been testing a few VPNs on my Android device, and I’ve noticed that when I enable any of them, my internet connection (home WiFi) stops working for most apps, except browsers. Social media apps and other installed apps that require internet access don’t work, but for some reason, browsing is fine, which is confusing.
I also get a notification saying I have no internet access, yet I’m still able to use browsers. I’ve tried multiple VPN apps, but they all have the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I previously had a private DNS set up, but even after disabling it, the issue is still there.
Vpn is really just for changing isp country or add blocking, I would get a paid vpn ,free ones always give hassle in long run ,then make sure you are on correct protocol, ie open vpn ,udp for speed if on android.
Free VPNs can cause issues with certain apps due to slower speeds or limited servers. Try a paid VPN and use a protocol like UDP for better performance.
