That’s annoying. I’m assuming secure core is affected as well?

Today is a Friday funday!

Ну, да, наверное. И в отличие от нормальных VPN, не работает на всякие сторонние приложения, то есть игрушку или там Spotify не обманешь.

Но зато бесплатно. И не блокируется. Surfshark таким похвастаться не может.

Just like in China, the only part of China that allows vpn’s is Hong Kong.

About logging in, I can say Use VPNify just to log in to ExpressVPN. That’s what I did/do. There are a few servers that work but majority of the servers don’t

Ru Gov issued a law that prohibits posting any information about dodging russian great firewall. Which includes VPN services.
Here’s a list of vpn services they blocked so that their citizen couldn’t find any real information about what’s going on in their country:

  • Mullvad
  • PrivateTunnel;
  • ExpressVPN;
  • NordVPN;
  • Betternet;
  • Lantern;
  • X-VPN;
  • Cloudflare WARP;
  • Tachyon VPN;
  • VyprVPN;
  • Oper;
  • Hola!;
  • KeepSolid VPN Unx9X8C_bgKkA;
  • Speedif;
  • IPVanis;
  • ProtonVPN.
  • Surfshark
  • Windscribe
  • Psiphon
  • Tunnelbear

That list keeps updating.

So earlier this year I set up a personal VPN with a server in the US, thinking I could get around the great firewall and finally use Youtube TV. Uh uh. It lasted a grand 24 hours. My understanding - China employs very aggressive machine learning tools that track down data flows and shut off sites and proxy servers its suspects are operating beyond its surveillance. It’s not like Russia’s firewall at all, where you get a polite state message that a site is inaccessible. Blocked sites don’t load here. Also, any site running with Google back office won’t load i.e blocked. My solution to date - use my US-based Apple account and use a somewhat less popular VPN. Note - mainland China does have ‘soft’ VPN operators - but they shut off during big events.

Нет, это я пошутил, видимо неудачно

Can’t say because it’s a paid feature and Proton like everyone else won’t accept payments from Russia.

thanks for the reminder. feel free to comment

да хз авторизацию в виндскрайбе проходишь и все

hasn’t been able to find any vpn that’s an app. Only on browser, and seems she isn’t able to log into express just through browser. So kinda stuck there

Wow , I didn’t know about this.

I have a few friends in China that use my self-hosted VPN, hope this helps if you still need a solution. I rent a server (Fasthosts) with 2 static IP addresses and set up an Outline VPN on it. They had a problem of a server being blocked, but that’s where the second IP address comes in handy. Apparently the IP block does not last long, and they unblock it some time after, so get as many IP address you need (depending on how much traffic goes from you) and just swap between them.

I see. It’s very unfortunate that that’s the case.

Hong Kong what I’d support if they got their independence again

Listen carefully… There’s an app called RUSSIA VPN. The logo is literally the Russian flag. She can use that to log into Express. I’m android btw.
Any server should help

I’ll mention it, shes on apple though
